No School October 2nd and 20th

Reading and Math...Doesn't Scare Me!
When: October 11th
Where: Mound City R-2 Multipurpose Room
Time: 6:30-7:30 p.m.
Who: Ages 3-4 and grades PK-4
What: Pumpkin Bowling, Corn Estimation, BINGO, Reading Corner,
Roll a Monster, Pumpkin Measurement Activities, Storytime, Make Your Own Snack

Hot Dogs, Chips, Water, and Desserts will be provided!

Informational parent meeting will be held from 7:15-7:30 p.m. while the kids are at story time.

Parent/Teacher Conferences
Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held on October 19th from 1-7 p.m. Elementary teachers will be scheduling conferences with you. Middle School teachers will be available to meet with parents on a first come first served basis beginning at 1:00 p.m on the 19th. There will be no school the following day, October 20th.

Panther Alerts
We encourage you to register your cell phone to receive Panther Alerts, sponsored by NW Cellular. The service is FREE and will allow you to receive "text" messages for our school for items such as: change of events, early outs, school cancellations, late start, extra curricular activities, or other miscellaneous announcements. Fundraising U
Orders will be available for pickup on October 19th starting at 1:00 in the cafeteria.

Halloween Parade and Parties
Students will begin their annual parade at 2:00 on the 31st followed by class parties. Middle School will have their monthly party in their homerooms during 1st hour. Students will not be allowed to bring weapons or wear costumes with blood.

Reminders:
Yearbooks are on sale for $30.00.

Please save your BoxTops for Education. The high school FBLA will be collecting these every Wednesday.

After School Study Skills
Students in grades 3-8 are offered a place to work on homework until 4:00. Please complete the parent permission form (sent home with students) in order for your child to attend.
